Koved Care LLC provides specialized Home Care and Care Managers for Elders, Psychiatric, Addiction, Oncology and Palliative Care clients. Mission Statement: Our mission is to optimize quality of life for our clients, whether they are recovering from an acute illness, living long-term with chronic illnesses, or are nearing the end of their life Company History: Koved Care LLC was founded in May, 2005 by Steven Horen. After spending many years in technology-focused Venture Capital and Investment Banking, Steve re-discovered his passion for health care. As a young person, he was actively involved during the formation and planning phases of the Connecticut Hospice, as a volunteer office worker and member of the Building and Site Selection Committee. This involvement stemmed from his family’s inclusion in the Hospice Care Feasibility Study that was conducted at Yale University from 1969 - 1971, in which his mother was a patient. Steve's early work history includes direct care-giving experience, having worked as an Orderly during and after college at hospitals in New York City, Connecticut and California. Steve holds joint MBA/MA East Asian Studies degrees from the Darden School / University of Virginia, and a BA in Economics from Beloit College. From 2003-2005 he served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of New Leaf Services in San Francisco, a non-profit addiction treatment program focused on the LGBT population.
